Jasmine's Purse

So part 1 of my updates... My latest obsession has been learning to
sew purses with purse frames. I started about 2 weekends ago with
plastic frames I bought from Golden Dragon, an experiment I made
for my sister-in-law's birthday present. It turned out not too bad.
I had made one for myself too and realised after a week or so the
plastic frame broke. Then again I am not the most delicate flower
in the bunch so... for someone like me - plastic frames were not
the best idea.

I also ordered some metal ones online so naturally when they
arrived I dove right into making metal framed purses. The first 2
metal frames where not the best - I had applied too much glue and
was trying to get hang of things and understanding the science
behind it all. So this is number 5 (This is the cutest cotton
fabric - Pencil stripes from Spotlight) and I am pretty pleased
with my progress. I really could not have done this without
Lisa's tutorial on purse frames!

So my twinkle-star-pal Jas says she
likes the purse (and I think she means it and not just saying it to
be nice) and I am happy that she does. Although she's also
concerned about how she's going to use it because she too isn't the
most delicate flower in the pot and that's why she's such a good
friend. Hahahhaa! It's OK Jas, if it breaks or something I'll make
you another!
